An older piece of news that I’ve been reminded to include: Atom Egoyan’s 1999 film Felicia’s Journey, about a young pregnant Irish girl who travels to the UK in search of her boyfriend, feature’s a pub scene in which Felicia is having a drink with the boyfriend. He tells her she looks beautiful etc and the song playing in the background is The Sensual World. The track reappears a few minutes later as Felicia walks along a riverbank, contemplating love and life (thanks to Michael Kyriagis in Sydney for the reminder!). Collin also emailed to remind me that Don’t Give Up features at the closing moments and credits of the recent Denzel Washington starrer The Bone Collector. Must get out to see more movies….
