Look out for the next edition of Mojo magazine. It should be out as early as next week. It will feature a brand new interview with Kate about 50 Words For Snow and the first actual review of the album! More at the Mojo website here.
EDIT: The review awards 50 Words for Snow four stars. Thanks to DecemberWillBeMagic, SkyVibes and Ian.
“At 53 the thrill of seeing the world transformed by a pearlescent icy blanket is not only intact; it’s the Narnian portal through which 50 Words for Snow beckons us …”
UPDATE: The review is illustrated with the following art by Lisa Evans. (Read more at her blog here.)
“To stick around for the conclusion is to realise that the spiritual source of these songs comes from a deeper place. ‘I can see angels around you’ she sings … sounding as delerious with love as only she can.”
Keith
Is there a TIME TRAVELER’S WIFE (not quite the title but…) theme here with Wheeler Street?
Also, what’s that dark, foreboding figure in the woods back of the Kate-like image and child? Reminds me of the M.R. James story about the mezzotint. I hope the figure doesn’t keep coming closer…
Mike
Well, I think this is the Wild Man (or Yeti or Big Foot or …). Beautiful art, 50WS will be magnificent.
Mandy
Mike, you have summed it up perfectly!

A yeti? 🙂
Can't wait to read the review of Fifty Words and counting the days till 21st November – I am SO looking forward to the album release!
John
Is it the 21st yet?
This album sounds like it is going to be awesome.

WOW Kate!! 🙂 what a thrill!!! 🙂
These images look peaceful but they seem to be hiding a dark side.
The woman’s almost shapeless face, their hug time-frozen,
the other world’s blue children with that mysterious snow man
suspended up above floating on clouds. The glancing moon.
Time stands still.
The beauty of these pictures and the wonderful, magical,
timeless ‘Wild Man’ …
Really really looking forward to the release of the new album.
Thankyou Kate 🙂 thankyou!
Eric
Yeah, November will be magic.

“I actually have a top hat that I’ve had for years, especially for snowmen. It’s a plastic top hat and I keep it on a shelf, especially for when we can build a snowman”
Kate Bush – I never thought I could love you any more – but I do now
I wonder if she gives them arms? I always try to, but you need exactly the right kind of snow..
ARoseGrowing Old
Apparently she’s been using this top hat for over 30 years… http://keapr.com/hft

I love the images, they have an ethereal and otherworldly quality to them with the snowfall swirling through the sky. Reminds me a little of her lyrics in Moments of Pleasure: The buildings of New York look like mountains through the snow.
Stefan Bogers
Very, very beautiful artwork…. :)))))
Rod
Wonderful artwork. And having just looked at your forum all I can say is thank goodness the snowman in the drawing isn’t anything like the utterly terrifying snowman Kate Bush once made. That thing gives me the collywobbles. *shudder*

On the forum the Mojo review!
Rob't
What is the top artwork from: the Mojo article or album artwork (or both)?
Robert
The top artwork is by Lisa Evans and was commissioned by MOJO magazine to accompany their review of 50WFS. It has nothing to do with the album artwork.

Love the art for Wheeler, the first one is somewhat disturbing and kliche…..but to be honest quit interesting
JAMES COLE
