Kate is releasing a book of selected lyrics entitled “How To Be Invisible” on December 6th. It is published by Faber and Faber and you can pre-order it here.
Selected and arranged by Kate, with an expansive introduction by the novelist, David Mitchell, How To Be Invisible presents the lyrics of Kate Bush for the first time in a beautiful cloth-bound Faber edition.
“For millions around the world Kate is way more than another singer-songwriter: she is a creator of musical companions that travel with you through life,” said Mitchell. “One paradox about her is that while her lyrics are avowedly idiosyncratic, those same lyrics evoke emotions and sensations that feel universal.”
The Guardian has ran a short piece about her book here and Guardian writers choose their favourite Kate Bush lyrics here. Uncut have the story here.
You can pre-order Kate’s book here. Also, you can sign up to a mailing list to receive news about an exclusive Limited Edition format of this book here: https://www.katebushbook.com/

December will be magic again.

When I was a child, running in the diet (Wait, what? The diet? Must be a thing to do with fox hunting or rural life.). I sang ‘the diet’ in my head for years. I shall miss this sort of thing.
Check out the comments on the Gruniad site, they’re ‘special’. There’s one huge post to ‘national treasure’ David Mitchell…the wrong David Mitchell, of course. Hilarious.
Anyway, the next time I see ‘It’s in the trees’ written down, it’ll be from a delivery man telling me where he has ‘conveniently put my book’ delivery.

Signed up, but two months later, still no sign of that limited edition version…

No, no word, perhaps in the next couple of weeks? Book excitement has been replaced by remasters excitement!

Sounds DESPERATE to me. A pointless money making scam. Read the mitchell intro then threw the book aside. Mitchell claims The Sensual world came out in 1987!. IT IS GLARING yet it seems NO ONE, even Bush herself noticed before it went to print. Has NO ONE else noticed?.
