In this very special episode, Seán chats with Kate’s eldest brother, the poet, writer and photographer, John Carder Bush at his home in South East London. A dream come true! In this first part, we talk about John’s early life, how he developed his writing, his days playing in folk bands in London (with a young Kate taking notes), forming the Salatticum Poets with his great friends Tony Buzan and Jeremy Cartland, the story behind “Nicholas Wade” and so much more! Part two coming next week.

I really like listening to Mr Bush talk about his upbringing and the connection with this Irish family and this really made me feel like I can identify because my grandparents were both from Ireland and we had listened to a lot of anti-british Irish music when I was growing up. anyway it was really neat to hear his life not so much about his sister but about his own interests I look forward to hearing the next part.

John Carder Bush has a very beautiful voice. He must be like the James Earl Jones of England.
